Use the Auction Sites to Make Money on eBay
There are numerous ways to make money on eBay and one of the easiest is to use the auction sales.
Where do you start?
• Simple you can begin by literally clearing out any goods that you have had stored in the loft or garage and have now no use for and earn money from selling them.
• Check out the Charity shops. Books DVDs and collectibles are always popular.
• Sell your home-made goods, like knitted tops or wooden toys. People love to buy personal hand-made items.
Just to show how even bizarre items can sell, in 2004 a South Florida woman listed on the Auction sales section, a partially eaten grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich sold for $28,000. The woman produced a photo showing the sandwich she believed had the image of the Virgin Mary in one of the slices of bread.
There are some items that are forbidden or restricted though. Some examples are; Ivory products and Military hardware such as explosives. You would be advised to check on the eBay site for details. These items also can vary depending on where you are in the world.
So what are you waiting for? Clear out those old books, unused snow boots and vinyl records.
You will to need an accurate and informative description, a great photograph and an appropriate title for each item, organised for the site. Make sure these are well done. Check on the eBay site if in doubt how other top sellers set out their sales information.
It is free to register as a seller but you are charged a listing fee and when the goods are sold you will pay a percentage of the final price to eBay.
There are three ways to make money selling your goods on eBay.
For the Auction- style listing, set a reserve price for each item and specify the number of days.
There is a fixed price format. This format allows you to offer one or more items for sale at a “Buy It Now” price. The auction price is set lower than the “Buy It Now” price. When the auction time starts, if the buyer agrees to pay the price set by you then the auction stops.
If you are really motivated you can make a full time career out of it. You can turn this into a business and open your own “eBay store”. The listings cost less than Auction sales and you can have the goods listed until they are sold.
Now you can add the extra cash to your income or develop your own home business.
